This is your chance to make a difference!
Malawi 8 to 29 September 2012
The purpose of this AidCamp is to construct a Community-Based Children's Centre (CBCC) in the rural village of M'teza some 30-40 minutes drive away from the capital city, Lilongwe.
The project is being run in conjunction with the Landirani Trust and will be AidCamps' first ever 'green building' as it will be constructed using a method called 'rammed earth'. The walls and roof will be constructed using sustainable, local materials and
the floor will be made from limecrete, avoiding the need to use cement/concrete. The project will also see the construction of compost toilets to service the Centre once it is operational.
The CBCC will be used by the Landirani Trust to provide a pre-school for 3-5 year olds, a feeding station for 3-5 year olds and a Children's Corner for orphans aged between 6 and 18. It is also hoped that the Centre will be used for adult education in the
future, when not being used by the children.

An open air classroom at M'teza in Malawi
Cameroon 10 November to 1 December 2012
The purpose of this AidCamp is to construct a new classroom block for a rural village primary school. Without your support the local community would be too poor to create a durable, weatherproof building in which to educate their children. The project will
also attempt to construct a new toilet block, subject to the total amount of funds raised.
This project will dramatically improve the health and life chances of many hundreds of children.

Children lending a hand on a village school project in Cameroon
Nepal 2 to 24 March 2013
This project will improve and extend a dilapidated school in the rural village of Salghani in the Chitwan area of Nepal. The school caters for 157 pupils aged between 4 and 12 years of age.
The school serves mainly the children of local subsistence famers and labourers and has had little if any Government assistance in recent years. Despite its poor state of repair the community has no choice but to make the most of this facility as the nearest
neighbouring school is 2.5km away and is not enrolling students from this location as its roll is full.
