The purpose of this AidCamp was to provide a primary school for the
village of Manahara in the Chitwan valley, where children were previously walking 40 minutes each way every day to
go to school. Cultural visits included holy sites in Kathmandu,
the Hindu pilgrimage site of Devghat, and the Chitwan National Park.

Disabled Children's School AidCamps |

January & February 2008
These two AidCamps financed a new building for the
school, to provide training and treatment facilities to help disabled children and their families develop
the means of living independently within their own villages. Cultural visits included the temple at Madurai,
the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, and the salt pans at Tuticorin.

November 2007
The purpose of this project was to provide a proper primary school
for the rural village on Tsenka to replace a dangerously dilapidated building that was in too poor a condition to
be renovated. Cultural visits included the Royal Palace at Foumban and the market at Foumbot,
the largest in west Africa.

These AidCamps provided a resource centre for the children of
the rural community of Uda Walawe, providing them with educational and social facilities. Cultural visits
included the Hindu and Buddhist temple at Kataragama, the ancient city
of Tissamaharama, and the Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary.
