Why do we ask for a photograph?

The photo is used for several purposes:

It goes into your certification letter -- that's a letter that you can show to potential donors that says, basically, you are a "good guy" and really are fundraising on behalf of a registered charity and for a good cause.
It goes onto the Sponsorship Page that we will set up for you on our website, that allows donors to contribute to your fundraising total online using their credit cards.
A few weeks before a Group AidCamp we circulate everyone's photos amongst the group, so that you can all start learning each other's names and faces before you arrive.
And last, but not least, it's so that we or our partner organisation can spot you at the airport when we or they come to pick you up!

It doesn't have to be a passport photograph, just one that shows your face clearly.

So, make it a good one and don't forget to smile!

If you'll be sending the photograph by e-mail, please crop it to just head-and-shoulders, and try and make it less than 100kb. A few hundred pixels a side at 300dpi with medium JPEG compression (quality) is good enough.
