Coronavirus Pandemic Update

Hello,

The Trustees and I hope you and your loved ones are well and that you are doing what you can to stay safe at this difficult time.

As you may imagine, as with many other charities in the UK, we are finding it a challenging time and doing what we can to keep the charity working to support our partners, whilst sadly not being able to deliver any of our Group or Independent projects.

I'm sure it won't come as a surprise to anyone that we've been forced to postpone our planned project in India this summer due to the current Coronavirus pandemic.

We hope to be able to re-advertise the project later in the year to take place in the summer of 2021. We're also looking at what other projects we might be able to run next year as well as making plans for 2022.

We are in discussions with all of our partners at this time to find out what we can do to help. As you may imagine, if we are finding the situation challenging in Europe our partners in less economically developed countries are finding it even more challenging with little or no state aid available, poor health provision and few if any ventilators available even if they could be accessed.

To this end we'll be concentrating all of our current fundraising efforts in supporting our partners to help them through this crisis.

Please keep an eye out for posts on our website, or on Facebook and Twitter about any specific fundraising initiatives we're running.

We'll do what we can to share with you any news and updates we receive about how our partner NGOs are supporting their communities and helping some of the poorest people in the world through these unprecedented times.

Best wishes

Steve
